This wine shows the intense varietal character of a 100% pure Sauvignon Blanc grown in one of the warmest regions of Napa Valley – at the foot of Mount Saint Helena in Calistoga. The warm climate of the upper valley location produces ripe flavors that take this wine far beyond the herbal grassy tones of Sauvignon Blanc from cooler regions. The low pH soils of the vineyard reveal mineral notes and a perceptible brightness to the wine’s acid profile. The aromas are clean and crisp with notes of pine forest, white nectarine, yeasty dough, bay leaf, lemon zest and lychee. The palate has focused citrus fruit of blood orange, lemon marmalade, hints of almond with a long luscious finish that ends in a yeasty crispness combined with a silky texture.
