Sourced from their Mt. Veeder vineyard, this estate Sauvignon Blanc is planted on hillside slopes at the top of the Mayacamas mountain range. While uncommon to plant Sauvignon Blanc on mountain soil, Didier Dagueneau, the mostgifted Sauvignon Blanc producer of all time, advised Rudd toplant the varietal there as it reminded him of his vineyard soil in the Loire Valley. This '08 lingers on the palate with notes of crushed minerals, pure fruit and acidity.
