The 2010 Hudson Vineyards Charonnday has a golden hue with hints of green and holds exotic aromatics of candied ginger, allspice, and tarragon. There are more dried spice than fruit components. The wine has a fresh palate with mid weight body that is marked by a saline quality which is classic Hudson. Flavors consist of pain grillee, roasted corn, macadamia nuts and salt. For a wine of this size it is quite tactile and minerally. This vintage has produced a different expression of this extraordinary site. More mid-weight than the 2008/2009 which is perfect for drinking now and for the next 7 yrs. The 2010 Hudson Chardonnay will be perfect for scallops and sole.
