Grown on the Oakville bench in a vineyard of very rocky, red volcanic soils, using low vigor root stocks and high density 4x4 spacing, the wine has classic cassis and choclaty red and black fruit aromas, with a lush mid-palate and a supple, elegant finish. After 4 weeks on the skins, the wine was aged for 20 months in the barrel, before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
