Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
This is one of the best examples of how powerful and complex cool climate small lot Pinot Noir can be. We have been working with this wonderful vineyard for over a decade and fine tuning it each year. Adding a few rows here, picking a little later there, and thinning the crop to yield decadent seductive Pinot Noir The vineyard selection is comprised of three different clones and two different climate zones. The lower section of the vineyard is cooler and allows flavors to build, where the upper slope adds complexity and exotic flavors of black currants, deep red cherries, blackberries, raspberries and a subtle hint of cocoa . The weight and intensity of this wine is remarkable. A wine with the heft of a tank and the grace of an angel. Aged in French oak for 16 months and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
